Cake inspiration for your theme party
A beautiful cake makes the perfect finishing touch to any theme party, and looks wonderful set in the middle of your decorated table. So I thought I would search out some cake ideas which match our Mad Hatter Party Box themes - Carnival, English Tea Party, Pirates, Princess and Under the Sea.
The wonderful Royal Bakery helped me to source some of these beautiful cakes to give you some inspiration and ideas when you are planning your theme party. Thank you to everyone who submitted a cake - there are some amazingly talented cake decorators out there!
1) Carnival theme cakes
2) English Tea Party theme cakes
Thanks to Dakotas Custom Confections for this beautiful 3 tier cake with the cutest tea pot and to Mad Hatter Party Food for the Mad Hatter style tea party 4 tier cake and the sweet little teapot cupcakes.
3) Pirate party theme cakes
4) Princess party theme cakes
So many wonderful Princess theme cakes to choose from, but these were some that stood out to me and showed different approaches to the same theme.
Thank you to Beau Petit Cupcakes for the elegant 3 tier cake with beautiful tonal ruffles and gold crown, Royal Bakery for the amazing Hello Kitty princess castle cake (find their tutorial for this cake here), Nancy's Cakehouse for the Disney princess cake, Blissfully Sweet Creations for the 2 tier ruffles and crown princess cake, and Frostilicious Cakes and Cupcakes for the amazing modelling in this princess carriage cake, which is all edible.
5) Under the Sea theme cakes
Under the Sea is another very popular cake theme, and again I have tried to choose a few cakes which show different approaches to give you more ideas.
Thanks to Time for Tiffin for the stylised whale and sailing boat cake, Cakey Cake for the amazing colors and detail in their under water cake with a rather friendly looking shark (or is he?), Lucy Cake Design for her Finding Nemo cake, and Sugar Allure for their underwater/above water cake.
So many beautiful cakes, it has made my mouth water - it must be time for cake now - right?
Thanks to everyone who has allowed me to feature their amazing works of art, and I hope it has given you some ideas and inspiration. Don't forget to take a look at Mad Hatter Party Box to get more ideas and beautiful party supplies to match all these themes.
